Open to New Zealand residents

Maximum of 1500 words, original fiction, not previously published.
Entry fee $5 per adult story, $2 junior.
An award ceremony will be held at the Pukekohe Library on Saturday July 25th.
One night accommodation for winner provided by BK’s Counties Motor Lodge.

I’m so so so so SO thrilled. My novel
Every Five Minutes has been awarded the B.R.A.G. Medallion Award (Book Readers Appreciation Group).

It now has a gold medallion on the cover. Woohoo!

E-readers v print-books

Have I told you how much I love my e-reader? I’m sure I have – I tell everyone.
There are several reasons.
Mostly for the wonderful convenience of it – I have hundreds of books on my Kindle.
They’re all right on hand whenever I want to refer to them.
No stacking more books onto overful bookshelves.
Ebooks are so much cheaper.
I love trees as much as books.
It’s for this last reason that I was interested to read a piece on the environmental impact of print versus epublications. E-Readers Vs. Print Books (via CustomMade)
