Someone said to me, in response to the item below about my novel Every Five Minutes, that I’d be anticipating an offer for the movie rights any day now.
Of course that would be good. Every writer hopes their books sell well, but it’s not all about the money. We write because we want people to be moved, affected, uplifted by our words and stories. Conversations such as the one quoted below and the lovely reviews (see Fiction page, and the review on FlaxFlower page) tell me this book has achieved that aim.
I’ll still welcome an approach from the movie industry though!
Someone else asked, why no updates for a while? Aren’t you writing?
It’s just the opposite. Too busy writing to blog.
Okay then – quick update!
My next novel is coming along – I hope to have the first draft completed next month.
